James Thornton been working in the Internet space since the dawn of the commercial Internet in 1994. He is the president of Electric Speed, an Internet consulting firm located in Dallas, TX.

He is the creator of Bulbflow, an open-source Python framework for graph databases.

In 2003, James co-founded the Colorado Federal Savings Bank (Cofedbank) Internet division, where he served as the Director of Development through January 2008.

In 2011, James founded the Propaganda Project, an open-source project to build a Web service that will enable people to identify and catalog instances of propaganda techniques used in mass media to effectively pull back the curtain so that it loses its persuasive effect.

James graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Management Information Systems and continued his education there for one year of post-baccalaureate studies in Computer Science.
