A Chartered Marketer, who is working hard to ensure Telco’s suck just a little less everyday.
The day job is running marketing for BlueVia, the API platform from telecommunications company Telefonica.
In addition James is the co-founder and host of HashBang.tv, and chair the Technology Market Interest Group of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, the world’s largest organisation for professional marketers.
James is a regular panellist, speaker, blogger, industry awards judge and lecturer.
Throughout a 20 year career in the tech, web and mobile sectors, James has successfully developed and deployed over 25 major products and services, featuring 20 UK market firsts, including BlueVia, O2 Litmus, MMS, mobile video, mobile music downloads, and the UK DVB-H Broadcast TV trial in Oxford during 2005.
These activities have gained James personal recognition from a variety of sources including inclusion in Revolution Magazine’s Future 50 - “The individuals who will shape the digital industry of the future”, and a number of product delivery related awards, including the ‘Grand Prize for Innovation’ at the 2007 MIPCOM Mobile TV Screening & Awards, ‘Best Use of Mobile’ at the 2007 UK Interactive Marketing and Advertising Awards, and O2 Litmus being named by infoworld.com as one of the Top 100 global IT projects of 2009.
