Mr. Better joined Capricorn in 1993 and also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Whitestone, a portfolio company of the Partnerships. Prior to joining Capricorn, Mr. Better was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company, working primarily with companies in the telecommunications, media and consumer products industries. Mr. Better previously was employed by Marine Midland Bank, where he was involved in financing leveraged buyouts and real estate limited partnerships. Mr. Better holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University and a B.A. from Williams College.
