James has a long history of designing efficient and effective digital strategies for top brands. In 2009, James co-founded Small Society, a mobile agency that brought the first wave of native apps for Starbucks, Zipcar, Amazon, and others to market. Prior to building Small Society, James was at Wieden+Kennedy leading the digital strategy team at the Portland office, aligning client business goals and brand experiences with emerging technologies for the entire brand portfolio.
Most recently, Small Society was bought by @WalmartLabs, and James is now leading the customer experience team who is defining the next generation of mobile retail experiences. She can also frequently be seen at conferences speaking on topics such as interaction design, mobile experience trends and convergent culture.
