James Im

James Im is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Arsenal Interactive, Inc., which was formed from his desire to solve his frustration of not being able to confirm if his Voicemail was actually delivered and heard by the recipient, if Txt msg was actually read and if there was a simple way to make a reservation or confirm availability at Masa (Japanese Restaurant) in NYC via single click from his Phone or the Web.

Prior to founding Arsenal Interactive, Inc. in 2007, James was Vice President of Services at LignUp, where he defined and launched the Services organization that was responsible for Customer Advocacy and Professional Services, and developed platforms and services enabling developers to quickly and easily mash-up voice and rich media into web applications, portals and business processes.

Before LignUp, James was the founder and CEO at iMedia Networks to re-define the revenue model for packaged computer game software, which become profitable during its first 5 months of operations and generating $7M in revenue on its first year as the company launched games such as Counter Strike, Half-Life and Bejeweled under a software-as-a-service platform/services.

James began his career as a technical dude at VocalTec Communications, the pioneer and a leading developer of VoIP software solutions. He spearheaded numerous groundbreaking initiatives, including deployment of the world’s first VoIP trial and commercial integration and roll-out. James also worked for Bell Labs and Lucent Technologies as a DMTS and Director, modeling complex hybrid networks and driving $1.2B in new revenue and managing projects such as Sprint-Nextel integration and introducing Voice-over-IP to AT&T Wireless. Prior to Bell Labs, James was part of its NGN team managing company’s largest project to date, Sprint ION. for BellCore/Telcordia and also worked for AT&T Wireless.
