James D. Fay has been the company’s Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since January 2009. Since joining NeoPhotonics in May 2007, he served as the company’s Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and General Counsel for @Road, a mobile resource management service provider. Over seven years at @Road, Mr. Fay helped the company raise venture capital, complete an initial public offering and secondary offering, acquire and integrate several companies, grow the business to a $100 million revenue run rate, and sell the company to Trimble Navigation for $500 million. Prior to @Road, he was a corporate and securities attorney for the Venture Law Group, representing venture-backed technology companies and their investors. Mr. Fay holds a juris doctor degree, cum laude, from Harvard Law School and bachelors of arts degrees in international business and French, summa cum laude, from North Central College.
