James Chivers is a Software Development Manager at Amazon - focussed on extending the capabilities of the Alexa platform.
Previously James was part of the Acquisitions SRE Team at Google in San Francisco where he worked on internal tooling for the Google Cloud platform and managed the Wildfire and Admeld production teams following their respective Google acquisitions.
Prior to joining the Acquisitions SRE Team, James worked supporting the YouTube content ingestion, processing and delivery network, and Google's file storage architecture.
James originally joined Google in January 2008 following their acquisition of Postini in September 2007, where he ran the EMEA Operations production infrastructure and support team in London and Zurich.
James is also the founder and developer of aviso.
