“Jacqui has more than a decade of operational and investment experience, as well as an extensive background in marketing and communications. As Vice President, Jacqui identifies and evaluates investment opportunities, participates in investment decisions and is actively involved in the development of Tech Capital portfolio companies. She is adept at identifying new market trends and opportunities and uses her expertise to help portfolio companies get to market quickly, secure first customers, build effective management and operational teams and acquire additional rounds of financing.
Prior to joining Tech Capital, Jacqui was a Director of Marketing for PixStream Inc., where she was responsible for managing an innovative marketing team and developing domestic and international markets. After PixStream was acquired by Cisco Systems, she led the marketing operations team for Cisco’s video networking business division.
Jacqui has also been a marketing consultant, published numerous business cases and instructed business courses at both The Richard Ivey School of Business (University of Western Ontario) and Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a director on the board of LiveHive Systems Inc., sits on the Professional Development Committee for the Canadian Venture Capital Association (CVCA), and is a popular speaker on venture capital and developing emerging-growth companies. Jacqui has completed the Entrepreneurship Development Program at MIT, the study course at the Venture Capital Institute and holds an honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.”
