With over three decades of investment experience in the financial industry, Jack is regarded as one of the pioneers of merchant banking in Canada.
Jack’s extensive experience as chair and member of various public and private company boards affords him a depth of corporate governance and leadership expertise that is conducive to the successful growth of young entrepreneurial-driven companies through to liquidity. He has been instrumental to the success of Jefferson portfolio companies including Quack.com (acquired by AOL), iStar (IPO, acquired by PSINET), Wescam (IPO, acquired by L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL)), and Applied Terravision (acquired by CGI).
Jack is dedicated to social change and serves on the board of a number of charitable organizations including Tyndale College, International Prison Fellowship, as well as his own charitable foundation.
