J. Michael Drozd serves as CoalTek’s Executive Vice President with primary responsibility for Operations. Dr. Drozd combines executive-level business experience with extensive academic training. In the nine years prior to his joining CoalTek, Dr. Drozd served as President and CEO of Industrial Microwave Systems. Before that, he worked at Decision Focus, a management consulting firm. Dr. Drozd received a BSE in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Duke University, a Master’s degree in Optical Engineering from Cambridge University (England), a Master’s degree in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University. Dr. Drozd has 13 internationally issued patents and over 15 pending patents.
