JA Chowdary is the former president of TiE and NVIDIA Graphics India.
As Director of STPIs in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, Chowdary played a key role in the spurt of outsourced software development and the setting up of many an Indian operation of Multi-National companies. He has also held key positions in industry circles and has been championing the growth of IT in Andhra Pradesh.
J A Chowdary has been on the board of IIIT, Hyderabad, and has been an advisor to IT task force for e-governance initiatives of the State. He is the President of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) and has also served as a Chairman IEEE Hyderabad section, American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Hyderabad Chapter and President of Hyderabad Software Exporters Association (HYSEA).
He has been championing the cause of the academia-industry linkage and promoting this cause for the mutual benefit of both. He is a strong promoter of corporate social responsibility and is on the Board of Trustees of Naandi an NGO.
