Imran Akram is a principal at DN Capital. He specializes in the areas of equity and investment, enterprise technologies, marketplaces, payments and gaming. Prior to joining DN Capital, Akram was a member of the founding team of Fidelity Growth Partners Europe, a venture and growth capital investor which backs entrepreneurial companies in the IT and clean technology sectors across Europe. Imran was part of the team that invested in several ventures that included: Innogames, a browser-based online gaming platform; GoodData, a hosted business intelligence software; Seatwave, an event ticketing marketplace; and Wahanda, a health beauty and wellness marketplace.
Akram started his investment career with General Atlantic, where he was a part of the team that invested in GlobalCollect.
Akram graduated from the Oxford University with a MEng (1st class) degree in engineering, economics and management. He studied at Christ Church and currently lives in London, United Kingdom.
In January 1999, Akram won the Engineering Leadership Award from the Royal Academy of Engineering.
