Ilona Olayan is VP of Marketing for ILD Corp, which includes Social Strategy1, RollCall Business Conferencing and ILD Teleservices. A world traveler with a multi-cultural background, Ilona is uniquely attuned to the Internet as globe-shrinking, people-connecting technology and actively involved in all social media efforts including, Social Strategy1.
Ilona’s career as a professional communicator began in 1994, just as the Internet was becoming available to the masses in the U.S. During the next 16 years, Ilona became adept at leading communications through technology, notably as a founding member of OfficeArrow.com, an online business providing office professionals tools to succeed; as a consultant at Telwares Communications enabling clients to reduce communications costs, and as a founding member of Global Crossing’s bandwidth trading channel, prior to which she supported IXnet’s pricing and product management for the financial markets.
Ilona’s gift for connecting people in pursuit of a good cause has earned her a spot on the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 2010 “40 Under 40″ list, as well as membership in Leadership Jacksonville, among other honors.
