Igor Volovich, CISSP, CRISC, CISM, CISA, CIPP, was a senior and founding member of the Corporate Incident Response and Intrusion Detection team of the Information Security group at Microsoft. Since 2003, Igor has been responsible for architecting, managing and implementing intrusion detection and monitoring controls in protection of Microsoft’s intellectual property and proprietary digital assets. Igor has helped pioneer and implement innovative incident response methodologies and brought significant impact to the global security posture of Microsoft’s enterprise environment. Mr. Volovich has served on the First Responders Team, the internal incident response and recovery group responsible for managing security incidents affecting Microsoft’s information assets worldwide.
Igor has been frequently chosen as the subject matter expert in the field of intrusion detection and incident response to serve on key internal virtual teams and committees, such as the Microsoft Security Design Review board, charged with evaluating the security of all proposed network implementations and merger/acquisition integration efforts worldwide. Mr. Volovich has been repeatedly selected to brief top enterprise and public sector clients of Microsoft to increase their understanding of security challenges and solutions, among them:
