Ian leads vzaar’s commercial and marketing activities. He builds and maintains the strategic partnerships, executes the marketing strategy and is responsible for the revenue targets. Prior to joining vzaar, Ian was responsible for business development at Open Source start up Editopia, who successfully pitched and raised financing from Benchmark & 3i.
Prior to Editopia, Ian served as Business Development Director for WPP Tyrell in London where over the course of five years developed the Animation and Effects business by expanding product lines, negotiating exclusive supplier agreements and increasing turnover with new accounts. From 1996 to 2000 Ian helped start up Visual Media FX in Miami Florida, an Autodesk reseller for digital content creation tools, serving the Film and Television industry.
Ian has a proven record in delivering commercial goals in the digital media and web platform space. Jamaican-born Ian was educated in the UK and in America where he holds a Business Degree from Florida Atlantic University. When not working, Ian fulfils his time playing his favorite sports: tennis and rugby.
