Ian Hameroff was formerly the director of product marketing at Skytap, responsible for marketing and sales readiness. His areas of focus encompassed product launches, market intelligence, sales enablement, customer reference development, and product evangelism.
Previously, Ian worked for Microsoft where he held a variety of marketing positions across Microsoft’s information security, infrastructure, and messaging businesses. He most recently led marketing, readiness, and go-to-market strategy for the Microsoft Exchange partner ecosystem. Ian’s other Microsoft experiences include product management and launch of Windows Server 2008 networking technologies, management of executive communications activities for the Security Business & Technology Unit (SBTU), Exchange Server 2010 product planning, and technical product management of the email archiving and discovery workload of Exchange Server, Exchange Online, and Exchange Hosted Archive.
Before Microsoft, Ian spent six years at Computer Associates International, Inc. (now known as CA Technologies), in positions spanning product development, strategic brand management, and partner strategy for the security and enterprise management business units.
Ian holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minor in mathematics from Plattsburgh State University of New York.
