Ian Andrew Bell is a pioneer in Unified Communications, and an Entrepreneur based in Vancouver, Canada. He is the founder and CEO of AppSocial Media, Inc.
While residing in Silicon Valley and Los Angeles, California Ian left his role as a Product Manager at Cisco Systems to create the popular Internet Call Waiting Service BuzMe, in 1999, where he eventually became Vice President, Marketing. In the wake of BuzMe Ian worked with BuzMe co-founder Vlad Shmunis to create the popular Unified Communications service RingCentral.
After returning to Vancouver Ian created the popular internet radio service PulverRadio, and launched Geekmail, an early leading anti-spam IMAP email hosting company. Ian joined, branded, and launched EQO Communications in 2006, and was tapped to resurrect the popular PubSub service after selling his startup Notifone to Something Simpler in 2007.
Ian has provided strategic consulting services to more than a dozen early- and late-stage technology and media companies including FrontBridge (acquired by Microsoft in 2005), VOXEO, Whistler Cable Television Ltd., and Pulver.com.
