Jina Valentine
Early digital video entrepreneur, who claims to have laid the groundwork for YouTube, drawing on his experience both in the digital video realm, and from disc jockeying and audio engineering. He sued Chad Hurley and Steve Chen in November 2009, but the case was dismissed as inconclusive. Chad Hurley signed a sworn declaration stating he wasn’t in any way affiliated with any of PayPal’s employees or the company itself after 2002, therefore he couldn’t possibly have been the person who Herb claims to have reached on the phone in late 2004 to discuss the YouTube concept, logo and startup model.
Herb has a long history of contributions to famous gaming titles. Herb has appeared vicariously in the games Fallout 3, and the Final Fantasy series as “Locke” – his gaming handle from hobbyist days as a developer of Merc/Diku multi-user games.
Herb is an Interaction Designer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and is the current CTO of PickPark, a social networking website for entrepreneurs.
