Helen Wong joined GGV Capital as part of the founding team. She was selected as the first international Kauffman Fellow, a fellowship sponsored by the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. She has helped several U.S. portfolio companies (e.g. 2Wire) to develop their China strategy, and led the investment in Skystream (acquired by Tandberg). Helen has also been involved in GGV’s China investments including Hurray (NASDAQ: HRAY) and Alibaba.
Helen moved from the Menlo Park office to Shanghai in 2004 and is now based in Shanghai. She is a board member of Chamate, Tudou and Bridge Pharmaceuticals. She is a board observer at BCD Semiconductor, Blogcn and Panorama Stock.
Prior to GGV Capital, she has worked in investment banking for five years. Helen received a B.A. from Oxford University and an M.B.A. from INSEAD, France. Having lived in three continents, Helen enjoys learning new languages and travelling around the world.
