He founded in 2000 the shopping comparison website Bondfaro.com by the age of 23, working both as Product and Finance Director since then. In 2005, Gustavo leaded the acquisition of the competitor Central de Desejos and in 2006, he participated in the team that conducted the merger with Bondfaro’s biggest competitor, Buscape. After the merger, Gustavo stayed for 9 months at Buscape as Product Director, consolidating teams, processes and services.

Gustavo was also a bizdev at MIH/Naspers during the end of 2008.
