Gunnar Counselman founded Fidelis in Spring 2011. Prior to Fidelis, Gunnar was a HUMINT Officer in the Marines, attended both Cornell and Harvard Business School, and worked at both Bain and Innosight Consulting. Having partnered with Clay Christensen on early research for the book Disrupting Class Gunnar spent the last three years before launching Fidelis working as a strategy and innovation consultant in higher education. A third generation Marine with depth in both the military culture and disruptive innovation in higher education, it seemed natural to start an education company that assists military personnel to transition back to civilian life.
