Guillermo Söhnlein has spent almost ten years in leadership roles with various technology startups in the Washington DC area as well as Silicon Valley. His recent East Coast ventures include an online service helping commuters to share rides, a mobile games distribution platform, and a Web-based communication suite for small and mid-sized businesses. Previously, he was co-founder of a San Francisco-based speech recognition application development firm that was acquired in 2001.
Guillermo is the Founder and Chairman of the International Association of Space Entrepreneurs, an online community focused on promoting global entrepreneurship in space ventures. He served on active duty in the United States Marine Corps as a Judge Advocate and currently serves on various Advisory Boards and teaches entrepreneurship. Guillermo earned an A.B. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law.
