Gudjon Mar Gudjonsson is the CEO and founder of Medizza.
The driving force behind the research, development and design of many leading-edge technologies, Gudjon the author of several granted patents.
He currently acts as a consultant for Reuters Insight Community of Experts and has acted as key consultant and advisor for several government-associated projects within the telecom and utility sectors.
An experienced entrepreneur, Gudjon has previously been involved in a number of successful ventures, including companies that have gone through successful IPOs. In 2000 he founded mobile application company Maskina, later acquired by Viva Technologies and now called Vyke. In 1999, Gudjon founded Extrada, a software company connecting consumers to digital services in the home. In 1998, he founded Islandssimi, now Vodafone Iceland, the first full-service competitor to Iceland’s state-controlled telecoms monopoly.
In 1990, at 18 years of age, Gudjon established his first international software company, OZ Communications, which is a leading consumer mobile messaging solutions provider, now headquartered in Montreal, Canada.
Gudjon’s international experience includes three years in Silicon Valley and two years in Dublin. He currently works out of Industria’s London office, with a second base of operations in Reykjavik.
