Gregor is CEO and co-founder of Versal (launched in June '13), an open publishing platform for anyone to create amazingly interactive online courses.
Gregor has been a technologist and entrepreneur for over 20 years. As founder and CEO of Zone Labs (acquired by Check Point Software in 2004), Gregor invented the personal firewall and created a holistic internet security solutions (ZoneAlarm) installed by hundreds of millions people worldwide.
Previously, Gregor joined former Borland CEO Philippe Kahn as a founding engineer at Starfish Software (acquired by Motorola). Starfish developed much of the core IP for device synchronization in the wireless industry.
Earlier in his career, Gregor founded Borland's first independent development and distribution companies in Italy and Germany. After being acquired by Borland, Gregor moved from Munich to Silicon Valley to join the company as a principal software architect.
He holds 15 patents covering mobile, security and general Internet technologies.
