Gordon Holmes, who is based in the London office, joined Quadrangle Group in 2005 and is a Managing Principal focused on the firm’s $2.9 billion media and communications private equity business. He has had over a decade of experience in buyouts and investments, both in the US and overseas. Prior to joining Quadrangle, Mr. Holmes was a general partner of Forstmann Little & Co., where he spent over seven years and worked on a range of acquisitions, including those of Citadel Broadcasting Corporation and 24 Hour Fitness. He had previously spent over five years working in the Singapore, New York and London offices of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he gained experience in equity and debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and acquisitions, and restructurings. Mr. Holmes is a member of the board of directors of Capella Education Company, a Minneapolis-based post-secondary online education provider. Mr. Holmes received an M.B.A. from Stanford University in 1995 and was named the Henry Ford II Scholar on graduation. He graduated from University College, Dublin, Ireland in 1990.
