Glen Caplan is a venture attorney at Robinson Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A., in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, counseling emerging growth technology and life science companies across a broad spectrum of sectors, including software systems and applications, digital media, mobile applications, consumer electronics, video gaming, healthcare IT, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Glen counsels his clients through each stage of the company’s life cycle, including its initial corporate formation and other general corporate matters, venture capital financings, convertible debt financings, venture debt financings, initial and secondary public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate governance and securities laws compliance matters.
Glen is also a co-founder of Joystick Labs (http://www.joysticklabs.com), a first of its kind seed-stage accelerator program located in Durham, North Carolina focused exclusively on identifying and launching the next generation of digitally distributed video game companies.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Caplan was a partner with Hutchison Law Group in Raleigh, North Carolina. He also previously served as an associate with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C., in Palo Alto, California.
