Gilles Samoun has founded and led several startups in US and Europe to turn them into major players.

Prior NTRglobal Gilles Samoun was Chairman & CEO of Solsoft, Security Policy Management solution. Gilles took an exceptional technology and transformed it into a mission critical application for large infrastructure networks. He managed the company to become the global leader in Security Policy Management and led the organization through its acquisition 2006.

Gilles came to Solsoft from Benchmark Capital, one of most successful venture capital firms, where he was Entrepreneur in Residence in their London Office. With an entrepreneur and venture hat, he had the opportunity to work closely with companies in SaaS, Open Source and Media.

Strong advocate of Software as a Service, Gilles founded Qualys in 1999. As its CEO, he managed a record growth and establish the company as a market leader in On Demand Vulnerability Management. Before founding Qualys, Samoun was the CEO of MediaPath Technologies, a LAN caching software company which was acquired. From 1992 to 1998 Gilles was at Verity (VRTY), one of the first enterprise search engine and knowledge management solution. As General Manager and Vice President for Europe he built a solid and fast growing sales and consulting operation.

Gilles currently serves on the Board of Directors of Agiliance, Criteo and Realease, companies repectively in US, France and China.

Mr. Samoun holds a degree in Physics from Orsay University, and a Masters in Computer Science from Paris Jussieu University.
