Giles Dawe is a web entrepreneur and artist based in Zhuhai, China. Giles founded Misohoni, a private web application and services site back in 2003. In 2000 he helped to establish the local portal ThisisBristol for the Daily Mail Newspapers group, afterwards he worked as the Head Web Designer at the Planning Inspectorate, a Central Government Agency in England. Since 2003 he has been working full time with his company and earning affiliate income from his sites.
In 2005 he established several start-ups, focusing on local countries and providing sustainable consumer internet. Uncover China was launched first, gaining exposure as the first China based portal in w3c.org and in 2010 and beyond he is developing more country specific sites.
He also paints and has held exhibitions in the UK, France, Hong Kong and China. His personal website is www.gilesdawe.com.
