Gerry has worked in early stage technology venture capital for the last 24 years and has experience in all phases of fund management, from raising funds, making successful investments, helping investee companies to grow, through to achieving successful exits and returns to investors.
He has a BSc in Physics, Mathematics and Statistics, and an M.Comm. in Economics and Finance. His early career was in the computer industry. Subsequently, he worked in venture capital with the National Enterprise Board, Top Technology Ltd and more recently spent six years with Aberdeen Murray Johnstone Private Equity in Leeds, where he helped raise a £25m Technology Fund, and managed the £9m White Rose Technology Seedcorn Fund.
