Gavin Dutch is a software engineer with a love for exiting opportunities in the mobile space.
He graduated in 2003 with a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Edinburgh and since then has worked in a number of development and project management roles across various sectors of the software industry, including communications, manufacturing, and enterprise.
Currently, he is the founder and managing director of Loc8 Solutions, an Edinburgh based mobile application development company that specialises in location centric applications. He founded Loc8 in November 2007 with a passion for mobile and a belief that location based services are the next big step to bring the digital and physical worlds together. After exploring a few potential products Loc8 focused on point of interests applications for the entertainment industry. Through this Loc8 developed the Hedout platform that allows Loc8 to rapidly develop rich information and content applications.
