Gary Cohen is an international sales and business development executive with success in growing organizations and revenues. With more than 25 years of domain expertise in the mobility industry, Gary has held leadership roles and consulting credentials for operational capabilities, marketing strategy, channel management, customer perception, network quality and content. He currently maintains senior strategic relationships throughout the wireless industry with carriers, infrastructure companies and handset/device manufacturers, as well as tower, content and billing companies.

Currently Gary is the vice president of sales and business development at Investment Technology Group, Inc. (ITG), where he manages competitive intelligence for the mobility sector consisting of carriers, OEMs, wireless component manufacturers, retailers, MVNOs and content providers. Previously he served as the vice president and general manager, North America for Flirtomatic, a British mobile social network oriented around entertainment and fun. Flirtomatic’s monetization comes via users paying for positioning, visibility, vanity and virtual gifts. Users interact locally and internationally with other users by flirting. During his tenure at Flirtomatic, he launched the mobile social network in the U.S. across wireless platforms and all carrier decks, growing to more than 1.7 million registered users in only 18 months.

Prior to Flirtomatic, Gary was a wireless/telecom principal with the Milestone Group, where he utilized his domain expertise in the wireless and telecom industries to provide sales and marketing strategy consulting to optimize results for growing companies. Gary also has served as the vice president of sales for Telephia, Inc. (acquired by Nielsen), where he established and managed a research based consulting practice that was responsible for regional wireless carriers, MVNOs, Canadian cellular operators and the tower industry.

He started his career working directly for wireless carriers including roles as vice president of sales at AT&T/PacBell Wireless, regional general manager for Vanguard Cellular/CellularOne, and market manager at Verizon Wireless.
