Gary Benitt is a seasoned tech entrepreneur with 18 years of diverse management experience, mostly within the customer service industry. Gary has experience in managing various technology teams including development, quality assurance and client implementations. More importantly, Gary has broad experience in all facets of growing a business from startup mode into a mature organization.
Gary was previously with AOL, after his widget startup Goowy was acquired in early 2008. At Goowy, Gary was one of the co-founders and served as the COO/CFO.
Gary returned to his customer service roots and teamed up with his friends to co-found Assistly, a software company in the space. Gary was the COO/CFO of Assistly - responsible for, among other things, "everything else". In 2011, Salesforce acquired Assistly and shortly thereafter rebranded it as Desk.com.
Gary left Salesforce/Desk.com at the end of 2014 to join Social Leverage as a General Partner to officially begin investing in and advising entrepreneurs on a full time basis.
