Freddie Kavanagh is Chief Development Officer with NewBay Software with responsibility for managing NewBay’s organizational development and growth strategy. Freddie also heads up NewBay’s Product Engineering division. Previously, Freddie was CTO EMEA for Novell (NASDAQ:NOVL) and played a key role in Novell’s corporate product and strategy groups to define and develop Novell’s product and service offerings in the EMEA marketplace. Prior to Novell, Freddie was VP Architecture (Europe) with Cambridge Technology Partners (NASDAQ:CATP) with responsibility for developing their technology architecture and solutions practice. He also worked in an advisory capacity with a number of Cambridge’s key clients in the insurance, banking and telecommunications industries. Freddie is a frequent speaker on e-business and technology trends, and has presented at key industry events including Gartner IT Symposium, IDC IT Forum and Burton Catalyst.
