Francois Lavaste
Francois Lavaste is currently the President & CEO of NETASQ, a leading provider of network security solutions and the European leader in unified threat management. He was an advisor of ScreenToaster, an online screen recordering solution provider acquired by Veodia in June 2009 and sits on the board of Actimos, the maker of Wipolo, an online service that helps people organize all their travel plans. Prior to NETASQ, Francois was General Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at TriCipher, a leading provider of strong authentication solutions to protect against fraud and identity theft. He started his computing career in 1992 as a partner in the creation of Eneide, a CRM software provider bought in 2000 by Coheris. In 1996, Francois moved to Silicon Valley where he stayed for over 10 years. He joined Intuit, the worldwide leader in business and financial management for small businesses, accounting professionals and consumers. In 2001, he joined BrightMail, the pioneer in anti-spam technologies as Vice President of Marketing. In 2004, just before going public, BrightMail was acquired by Symantec for $370m. He also contributed to the success of Cyanea Systems, a provider of application performance measurement software bought by IBM in 2004 and of Mindjet, the maker of MindManager and leading provider of applications for mind mapping and interactive visual collaboration. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School and ESCP Europe.
