Eric Ver Ploeg leads the mobile investment activities at VantagePoint Venture Partners.

Eric leads the VantagePoint Wireless Advisory Council, which includes current and former CTOs of T-Mobile, Vodafone UK, AT&T Wireless, Cingular, O2, and Clearwire. He joined VantagePoint in early 2001 and has broad experience as an entrepreneur, senior executive, and research engineer. He Co-Founded AdKnowledge, the first Internet ad serving company, which was sold for $193 million. He was also the Founding CEO of Angara, the first hosted website personalization company. Eric is a graduate of Case Western University (BS) and Stanford University (MS, PhD, MBA). Investments and Board seats include, Spatial Wireless (acquired by Alcatel), UltraDNS (acquired by NeuStar), RadioFrame Networks, OZ Communications, InnoPath Software, Bluepulse, and YouMail.
