Eric currently leads development of Ooyala’s core video platform. Eric is responsible for managing the architecture and long-term roadmap of Ooyala’s highly scalable video delivery service. His areas of focus include security and DRM, advertising and monetization, web players and client SDKs, ingest and encoding, and publisher and consumer APIs.
Previously, Eric was VP of Engineering in Comcast Converged Products (CCP), where he led the development large-scale IP video platforms.
Previously, Eric was Vice President of Network Architecture at CableLabs and was responsible for architecture and technology development for a number of initiatives, including DOCSIS and PacketCable.
Prior to joining CableLabs in 2001, Eric developed PKI software and managed VPN services, developed evaluation criteria for assessing the security of PKI products, architected security solutions, and advised software development groups on the development of security software. Eric holds a B.S. degree, Magna Cum Laude, in Computer Science from Syracuse University and a M.S. degree, Summa Cum Laude, in Computer Science with a Telecommunications Concentration from Johns Hopkins University.
