Rachelle Bowden
Eric Olson is an entrepreneur and marketing/business development executive focused on innovating in the realms of technology, digital media and finance.
Olson grew up in Massachusetts but now resides in Chicago with his fiancee. He is currently focusing on working toward his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where he is concentrating in Marketing and Economics.
Prior to business school Olson worked as an Associate at DFJ Portage Venture Partners in Chicago where he focused on financing and building globally leading technology companies in the Midwest. Before joining DFJ Portage Olson worked in Partner Development at Google and in Business Development for Chicago-based startup FeedBurner, which was acquired by Google in June 2007.
In his “spare” time Olson is one half the founding/managing duo of TECH cocktail, which is a semi-annual event for technology entrepreneurs, VCs, programmers and other tech related folks in Chicago, Washington D.C., Champaign, IL and Boulder, CO. He also plays drums for the Chicago based quartet “The Button Pushers,” is passionate about microfinance, reads a lot of books, obsesses a little about physics and writes whenever he can.
