Eric Ly

Eric Ly became a Venture Partner at Wellington in 2008. Eric is currently Founder and CEO of Presdo, a new online scheduling application. As a venture partner, he supports Wellington’s portfolio companies in the area of Internet services, with particular emphasis on social networking and social media applications, product development, technology scalability and viral marketing techniques.

Eric previously co-founded two other venture-backed internet companies, one in the mobile sector and the other in the collaboration space, both of which had successful exits. He has also worked at General Magic, Sun, NeXT and IBM, participating in several seminal projects at each.

Eric is a long-time resident of Silicon Valley, where he grew up and attended school. Eric graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Symbolic Systems and from the MIT Media Lab with a master’s degree in Media Arts and Sciences.
