Erik Benson is a managing director with Voyager Capital where he has been investing in large, market-changing information technologies and disruptive business models since 1998. In addition to Covario, he is on the boards of AboutUs, Act-On Software, Chirpify, Elemental Technologies, Lighter Capital and Zettics. Erik was previously responsible for Voyager’s investments in aQuantive (acquired by Microsoft), CapitalStream (acquired by HCL Technologies) and Kryptiq (acquired by Surescripts). Prior to Voyager, Erik was an investor for WRF Capital (Washington Research Foundation) after leadership roles at Mimix Inc., a pioneer in the area of motion capture and animation software for the computer gaming industry. Erik started his career in New York for a predecessor to JPMorgan Chase. Erik received an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School and a BA in economics from Pacific Lutheran University.
