Eric founded OneBigPlanet in 2002 using one million dollars of his own money and that of seed investors. Eric then led the company’s growth by receiving over 3 million dollars from Propulsion Ventures in 2007.
Eric Aubertin is a proven entrepreneur, having founded Universal Fundraising in 1999. Universal Fundraising went on to become eFundraising.com. For the first 5 years of operations, eFundraising.com enjoyed a 1500% growth rate and was ranked Canada’s 39th Fastest Growing Company by Profit Magazine. eFundraising was later acquired in 2000 for 17 Million Dollars, and was then later acquired by Readers Digest.
Eric is considered by most that know him to be a visionary leader, maintaining an aggressive while humble approach to building business relationships to support his company’s growth.
From conceptualizing technology solutions, formulating business and revenue models, managing product development, implementing marketing strategies, to securing capital investment, leading mergers and acquisitions, and expanding sales national and internationally, Mr. Aubertin has focused his career on building the corporate infrastructure required to maintain rapid growth, remain competitive, ensure high quality products and create value for both customers and shareholders.

In addition to his professional exploits, Eric was also drafted by the Montreal Canadians of the NHL in 1986 and had the opportunity to play on the Canadian Olympic Ice Hockey Team in 1991.
During his junior hockey years, Eric shared room with famous NHL goaltender Patrick Roy with whom a running bet as to who would be the richest man still stands.
