In 1999 Elliot started his first business as a student earning a Marketing/Visual design degree at Florida State University. The opportunity came to fruition while Schneier was tending bar at a high end Martini lounge. Legwork marketing and Promotions focused on branding, web design and marketing literature. Employing students and using school facilities for development allowed for a very competitive pricing model.
Elliot was swept into the accelerating commercial real estate market after college. He joined Marcus and Millichap 2004 as an investment specialist. By the time he left Marcus he was ranked 11th in the nation amongst 2000 brokers in total investment properties sold. Elliot and his partner left Marcus to start Capital Commercial Partners
Elliot and partner Rick Geisenfeld wanted to find a niche in the multi-family market. In total CCP was involved in 500M dollars in commercial real estate transactions.
Schneier was pulled back into technology by Affordit.com co-founder Wil Schroter. It was Elliot and Wil’s goal to provide a simple weekly payment system that would allow the under banked to buy online. Affordit was backed by some very notable entrepreneurs and venture capital firms in Northern and Southern California.
Upon leaving his post at Affordit Elliot stepped in as interim president of Boundarylessbrands.com. Boundaryless was a company that offered brick and mortar retailers an online outlet through a revenue sharing model. During this same time period Schneier served as an advisor to daily deal site bulx.com. Bulx and Boundaryless were both acquired in 2011.
Elliot went from consumer facing web companies to an international manufacturing business. He was tasked with building out a deliberate and scalable business development process at the worlds largest private super abrasive company.
Schneier is currently the COO of fundable.com and a proud partner of Virtucon Ventures. Elliot is passionate about helping start ups grow.
