Edouard Tabet is Founder at ZeTrip, a travel startup harnessing untapped structured and unstructured travel data from social networks with the goal of helping users find inspiration for their vacation.
Prior to founding ZeTrip Edouard was Vice President of Engineering at online dating company SpeedDate, Inc. At SpeedDate, with a team of 25 developers he hired, Edouard led the development of mobile and web applications. More than 15M members used SpeedDate.com to connect with their soulmate.
Prior to running development at SpeedDate, Edouard was founding engineer (Employee #2) and Lead Architect at Trulia. For the first 4 years of the company he led the development of the back-end technology including search, data-warehousing, data-mining, recommendation engine, crawling and website HA architecture, helping over 15M visitors/month browse and find the house of their dreams.
Prior to helping build Trulia from scratch, Edouard held various software development positions including founding engineer at travel search engine startup mobissimo.com , helping users compare and find travel deals. Mobissimo was named one of the top 50 best sites of 2004 by Time.
Edouard holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Université Paris 6 Pierre et Marie Curie. He was also rewarded a scholarship to study one year abroad at the University of Chicago where he participated in auction and fraud detection research projects and studied data-mining.
