Edgar Bronfman Jr. is a Managing Partner at Accretive LLC. He serves as Chairman of Accolade, co-Chair of Insureon, and as a director on the boards of Arise, Accumen, Everspring, AlphaStaff, and Accretive Health.

He is Executive Chairman of Global Thermostat LLC, a pioneering company designed to develop and commercialize a technology for the direct capture of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and other sources.

Edgar is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Warner Music, one of the world’s largest music companies. During Edgar ’s tenure, WMG was named one of Fortune Magazine’s “Most Admired Companies” in 2007, the first music company ever to receive the honor and, in 2009, was recognized as one of the “The World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies” by Fast Company magazine.

Before joining Warner Music Group,Edgar served as Chairman and CEO of Lexa Partners LLC, a management venture capital group based in New York City.

Edgar was appointed Executive Vice Chairman of Vivendi Universal in December 2000. He resigned from his position as an officer and executive of Vivendi Universal on March 31, 2002, and resigned as Vice Chairman of Vivendi Universal’s Board of Directors on December 2, 2003.

Prior to the December 2000 formation of Vivendi Universal, Edgar was President and CEO of The Seagram Company Ltd., a post he held since June 1994.During his tenure as the CEO of Seagram, he consummated 85 billion dollars in transactions and transformed the company into one of the world’s leading media and communications companies.

He was the chief architect behind the leadership positions achieved by Universal’s entertainment business in music, film and recreation. From 1989 until June 1994, Bronfman served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Seagram.

Edgar serves on the board of InterActiveCorp. He is Chairman of the Board of Endeavor Global, a non-profit organization pioneering a new approach to international development.

Edgar also serves on the boards of New York University Elaine A. and Kenneth G. Langone Medical Center; The Collegiate School; and the Board of Governors of The Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania.

He is a member of JPMorgan's National Advisory Board and the Council on Foreign Relations.

Edgar is married and resides in New York City. He has seven children.
