Edd Dumbill

Edd Dumbill is program chair for two O’Reilly conferences: Strata, focusing on the business of data, and the O’Reilly Open Source Convention.

Edd was the creator of the Expectnation conference management service, and the co-founder of life sciences intellectual property exchange Pharmalicensing.com. He served as program chair of the XML Europe and XTech web technology conferences.

Also a writer and editor, Dumbill edited O’Reilly’s XML.com journal from 1999 to 2005, has co-authored several books for O’Reilly Media, and wrote on XML for IBM developerWorks.
