With over 20 years of product management, marketing, sales and business development experience, Ed Gaudet is responsible for driving Imprivata’s global growth and product strategy, and leads the development and communication of the Company’s marketing vision and strategy, cultivating growth opportunities in new and existing markets, and integrating innovative technologies into Imprivata’s award-winning products.
Prior to joining Imprivata, Ed was the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, Sales and Marketing for Liquid Machines from 2002-2010; Check Point acquired Liquid Machines in June 2010. An executive founder, Ed created and led the Liquid Machines’ widely-acclaimed go-to-market and product strategy, and is a co-author of patent #7,587,749, Computer Method and Apparatus for Managing Data Objects in a Distributed Context. Under his leadership, the Company delivered the industry’s first Enterprise Rights Management platform in 2003, expanded its product portfolio to include document, messaging and gateway-based solutions, and executed successful strategic alliances with Microsoft and Symantec. Ed has held senior executive-level roles in various start-up and public software companies including IONA Technologies, Rational Software, and SQA, Inc.
Ed is a frequent industry speaker on the topics of regulatory compliance, information security and intellectual property protection. He is currently a member of TechTarget’s ROI Advisory Board, and has been an advisor to various early-stage companies such as Proofspace, IzzitGreen (Vertuous, LLC) and SproutShout.
