Eamonn Carey is, amongst occasional other things, Kiip’s man on the ground in the EMEA region - working on business development, PR, sales, contract negotiations and more.
Having worked as a journalist, producer and presenter with a number of Irish and International media outlets, Carey co-founded his first company in 2006. Random Thoughts was one of the first companies to produce high budget, multi-part mobile and online TV series for clients in the Irish market. Random Thoughts worked with clients and brands, including Telefonica, Hutchinson 3G, eircom, Leinster Rugby, Diageo and many more.
In 2010, he co-founded URBN - a digital media company in Dubai. URBN is focused on delivering high quality content for clients in a range of industries. They work with a number of airlines, Government agencies, retail outlets and brands in Europe and the MENA region. In 2011, his stake in that company was acquired.
He previously worked on Farmvillain - an app based largely around nonsense and mischief. Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the po-faced nature of much of social media, it was a massive success.
