Dr. Yih-Min Jan has served as General Manager of Tang Energy Group since 1995 and is based in Beijing, China. Dr. Jan knows and understands China and Chinese culture. Born and raised in Taiwan, he came to the United States over 20 years ago and earned a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Houston. He held positions at Schlumberger and in ARCO’s down-hole research and production application groups. In 1993, Dr. Jan founded Tritech Technologies, Inc. to sell oilfield production equipment and microbial enhanced oil recovery products and services to CNPC Beijing and numerous CNPC divisions in China. He introduced E. Patrick Jenevein III to the opportunities and relationships that he established in China after earning the trust and respect of Chinese energy companies. Dr. Jan serves on Tang’s Board of Directors.
