Dr. Barel functions as STAR’s Principal Managing Partner and has been engaged in the international venture capital business for the past 20 years. He established STAR in 1992 with the objective of investing in companies affiliated with Israel. From 1986 to 1992, Dr. Barel served as Investment Manager and, subsequently, as Managing Partner of Techno Venture Management GmbH & Co. KG, one of the largest venture capital companies in Germany.
