Doug Wormhoudt is a career software developer, having developed products for a myriad of industries for the last 17 years. Beginning at the age of seventeen, Doug created both consumer-facing and enterprise software for a small web development shop in Houston, TX. Three years later, Doug took a second development job – heading up internal development for the third-largest school district in the Houston metropolitan area. It was here that he met his two future partners in what would become the educationbased startup, Educational Intelligence Research Group. After EIRG and a brief stint consulting at Sogeti, Doug moved on to Tyco Flow Control. There he lead development of internal enterprise software within the oil and gas industry. In 2009, through the enthusiastic recommendation of a former associate at his first development job, Doug was introduced to Blake Pierson. Together, they pioneered an innovative start-up project that would ultimately become refined to create Lovely, where Doug is President and CTO.
