Doug Solomon is Chief Technology Officer and IDEO Fellow at IDEO. Prior to IDEO, Doug served as Vice President of Investments at Omidyar Network, helping pioneer a new approach to socially impactful investing. Doug served as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Strategy Officer at Apple Computer, where he helped in the acquisition of NeXT, and served the same role at Palm Computing. He has held leadership roles at Interval Research, several technology startups, and serves as a consultant and advisor to many corporations and startups. Doug is a volunteer chaplain at Stanford Hospital, and a devoted father and husband. He holds a Masters Degree from the East-West Center at the University of Hawaii, and a Ph.D. in Communication Research from Stanford University.
